Terry Sanders is in his 29th year as a Marching Percussion Instructor.  He is currently the Director of Percussion at Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida.  Under his direction, the EHS Field Season Percussion unit has won over 40 High Drum Caption awards and has received no less than a superior rating at any Band Contest since 1982.  Mr. Sanders has directed the acclaimed “Diamonds Indoor Percussion Ensemble” to WGI Regional Championships as well as WGI World Championship participants & finalist since 1995. 

            Mr. Sanders is responsible for coordinating Florida's largest Marching Percussion Clinic.  The Percussive Arts Society Florida Chapter Day of Percussion.  The DOP has been a successful event for 10 years running, featuring the world’s best marching percussion clinicians.       

            Mr. Sanders received his degrees in Computer and Information Science and Music Education from Troy State University.   He studied percussion under Dr. Samuel Frederick, while marching with the “Sound of the South” Trojan Band.  He studied clarinet with Dr. John M. Long in the Troy State Reading Band.   He also studied percussion privately with, Sergeant Carl Griggs of the United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps.  Mr. Sanders was the Percussion Caption Head and arranger for the Florida Wave Drum and Bugle corps from 1980 - 81.

            Mr. Sanders is a currently a member of the Central States Judges Association, Indiana Percussion Judges Association, Florida Federation Judges Association.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Gulf Coast Color Guard and Percussion Circuit.  He is a member of the Percussion Advisory Board for Winter Guard International.  He is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Music Fraternity and is an active member of the Percussive Arts Society. 

            Mr. Sanders, is currently a Educational Artist endorser for the Pro Mark Corporation, the REMO Drum Head Company and the Pearl /Adams Drums Company.

Rodell graduated from Escambia High School in 1993.  Since being in the inaugural season of the Diamonds and overcoming life-changing events, he has continued ties with the Diamonds.  He graduated from the University of South Alabama with a BA in Interpersonal/Rhetoric Communications and Troy University with a MS in Counseling & Psychology.  Shortly thereafter, Rodell became a teacher at Escambia High School.  Though physically limited, he remains heavily involved in the Diamonds knowing that drumming is more mental than physical.

Michelle has served on percussion staff for The Pride and The Diamonds since 2005.  She is a 2003 graduate of Escambia High School where she was a member of The Pride and The Diamonds Indoor Percussion Ensemble for 4 years and served as section leader her senior year.  After graduation from Escambia, Michelle continued to play percussion by becoming a member of the Seattle Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps from Seattle, Washington in 2004, The Eminence Indoor Percussion Ensemble from Hattiesburg, Mississippi in 2004 and 2005 and, most recently, The Music City Mystique Indoor Percussion Ensemble from Nashville, Tennessee in 2008.  She received her Associate in Arts Degree from Pensacola Junior College in 2005 and is currently a student at the University of West Florida pursing a degree in Accounting.

Jerry Charvat is an alumni of Escambia high school and member of The Pride from 2001-2005. During this time he played trumpet for the marching band and concert band and was section leader in 2005. He was also a marching member (cymbals) of The Diamonds indoor percussion ensemble from 2001-2005. In 2007 Jerry marched with Southwind Drum & Bugle corps on plates and in 2008 he was a marching member of the prestigious percussion independent world group, Music City Mystique. Jerry has been teaching at Escambia since his graduation in 2005 and also taught at area school Pine Forest high. He is currently studying medical assisting at Pensacola Junior College.

Elanders L. Frazier is in his 6 year of teaching marching percussion in the Gulf Coast Area.  He is currently the Co-Percussion Director at Pace High School (Pace, FL) and Murphy High School (Mobile, AL).  He is also a consultant at Navarre High School (Navarre, FL).  His teaching credits include Foley High School, Northview High School, Navarre High School, Pine Forest High School, and Woodham High School.  His performance credits include Eminence Indoor Percussion Ensemble 2003, Spirit Drum & Bugle Corps 2004, 2005, and Music City Mystique 2006, 2007.
